Puzzle games used to “tease” our brains since the ancient times, we all used to play chess, checkers and other puzzling board games. Today, thanks to the online games world, there’s no need to get out of the house to get our daily dose of mind-breaking puzzle games.
The most recent niche around is called physics games or in its expert title- Box2D games. Box2D is an open source 2D physics engine used mainly in flash games to create puzzle games. As you may or may not know, most of the puzzle games you love to play are based on Box2d engines, if it’s Civiballs, red ball, cover orange and many more amazing brain teasing games.
The most recent game around in the Box2D niche is called Colliderix. As first glance you may think he resembles lots of the game mentioned before but this game has something different, I couldn’t explain it at first, but as I dived in I started understanding why this game kept me glued to the screen.
The game objective is simple- Get the red or green balls ( or blocks, depends on the level ) touching another one with the same color, while overcoming all sorts of obstacles along the way. At higher levels you wil stumble upon black blocks that can’t be clicked, but can be used to pass some of the levels.
40 levels of mind breaking, brain teasing and hard thinking that will truly take you to the limit will prove what makes this game totally different.
While other games focus on graphics and sounds, Colliderix focuses on gameplay and brain teasing levels.
While the first 10 levels might be easy, depends on your skill and experience of course, as you climb further you understand this game ain’t no picnic. It took me 2 days finishing the game, and lots of screams, as I tried solving some levels again and again, but at the end I reached oasis as I saw the You win screen,
As I played through the levels, some levels really astonished me with their amazing focus on physics and gravitation rules; no doubt the game developer really knows his physics rules.
So, whether you’re a physics games fan, puzzle solver or just a free games fan that enjoys a real challenge, Colliderix is the game for you, so sit back and empty your schedule for the next 3-4 hours, you’re in for a real treat!
